Prestolee SCITT Get Into Teaching Information Event

Looking for more information about getting into teaching? We know that looking at the different routes, qualifications, and entry requirements for teaching courses can get confusing, so our online Get into Teaching events are designed to give you all the information you need to start your new career. We will cover:

• the different routes into teaching
• the difference between a PGCE and QTS
• primary teaching vs secondary teaching
• funding your teacher training (student finance)
• career development as a teacher

This event is appropriate for both university students (final year and graduates) and career changers.

In addition to this, you will have the opportunity to find out more about our courses and what we have to offer at Prestolee SCITT. As an Ofsted Outstanding primary ITT provider based in Greater Manchester, we will give you tan overview of our course (training and placement structure), the age-phase choices you have, and what life as a trainee is like on our courses. 

You will have the opportunity to ask questions to our team about teaching or our courses to ensure you have all the information you need to make a decision about what route is best for you!
