Governance

Prestolee SCITT falls under the governance arrangement of Prestolee Multi-Academy Trust. The Trust board have overall responsibility for the performance of the SCITT, and they have established an Executive Committee to monitor SCITT performance. 

The committee’s specific function is to support the trust board in ensuring the success of the SCITT in the context of the trust’s strategy.

The committee is accountable to the trust board for their performance.  The committee should offer support, and constructive advice, be a sounding board for ideas, a second opinion on proposals and help where needed, but also challenge, ask questions, seek information and approve proposals where appropriate and at all times act in the best interests of the SCITT and Prestolee Multi-Academy Trust.
